Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and CompressPPT regarding your use of the compressppt.pro website and related online services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to the Terms.

2. About the Service

CompressPPT provides online tools for compressing Microsoft PowerPoint files (.ppt and .pptx). Key features include automated optimization of images and embedded media, temporary cloud storage, and delivery of the compressed result. We may introduce new features, beta functionality, or integrations with external services from time to time.

The Service is currently offered free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans or other pricing models in the future with reasonable advance notice.

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old or have parental consent if required under the laws of your jurisdiction.
• You must have the legal capacity to enter into a contract and ensure your use of the Service complies with applicable laws.
• You may not use the Service if you are located in a jurisdiction subject to export or economic sanctions that prohibit such use.

4. Your Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information when interacting with the Service and keep any uploaded content lawful.
• Ensure that uploaded files do not infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any party.
• Do not introduce malware, scripts, or other content that could harm the Service or its users.
• Maintain your own backups of original presentations and compressed outputs. The Service does not offer long-term storage.

5. File Handling and Licence

• You retain ownership of files you upload. To operate the Service you grant us a worldwide, non exclusive, royalty free licence to process, temporarily store, compress, and transmit those files.
• The licence ends automatically once processing is complete and the files are deleted according to our Privacy Policy.
• If you request technical assistance we may ask for limited access to affected files or logs. We will use such access only for troubleshooting with your consent.

6. Prohibited Conduct

• Using the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or abusive purposes.
• Attempting to bypass security, gain unauthorised access, or reverse engineer the Service.
• Deploying automated scraping, excessive API calls, or other activity that interferes with normal operation.
• Sublicensing, reselling, or otherwise providing the Service to third parties without permission.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, software, trademarks, and branding on the Service remain the property of CompressPPT or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written approval.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates third-party solutions such as Cloudflare R2, Vercel, Google Analytics, and Google AdSense. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. By using our Service you agree to comply with the applicable third-party requirements.

9. Availability and Changes

• We strive to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error free operation.
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time. When feasible we will provide advance notice.
• If the Service is discontinued we will provide a reasonable opportunity for you to download any processed files still available.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that compression results will meet your requirements or that files will remain free from corruption or data loss.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CompressPPT and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service. If liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of USD 10 or the fees you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim (if any).

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CompressPPT and its affiliates from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, violation of law, or misuse of the Service.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms will be governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from the Terms or the Service will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Hong Kong, unless mandatory consumer protection laws of your country require otherwise.

14. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Service or legal requirements. When we make material updates we will post the revised Terms on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the changes.
